Here, red wine has always played an important role thus Gerhard Wohlmuth practiced at the Swiss top winery Boner Fromm and Gerhard Jr. underwent training at the top red wine operation La Strada Fromm Winery in New Zealand and at the top winery Rupert & Rothschild in Southafrica. Small wonder that the winery went to Burgenland to acquire some of the best rieds in Neckenmarkt.
Also there, viticulture follows strict quality rules. The reds from Burgenland are crushed and fermented in Neckenmarkt and then moved to the newly expanded barrique cellar in Fresing-Kitzeck, where they are allowed to mature before being carefully assembled and bottled.
