Harvest report 2014 November 3, 2014
During the season there has been anough rainfall and just some rain in the first week of September raised the risk of botrytis. We have been lucky that after the rain, the temperature did not raise to fast and through the wind the grapes and soil dryed. Especially our highest and most stoney plots have not been affected by botrytis and through that we had the possibility to wait very long with the main harvest. We started mid September with the first selection and from that moment we had a perfect Indian Summer with lots sun, warm days and cold night till the end of the Harvest, which has been finished on the 21st of October. The Klassik wines are very aromatic and very good trinkability and the Single Vineyard Wines are very complex and mineral driven. A special and very hard vintage with hand selections for several times, but these big emphases have been very important for the quality. Quantity is through the selections up to 25% less than a normal year.
